UPDATE:  The City of Albion attempted to coordinate a Household Hazardous Waste Collection at City Hall as part of the annual City-wide Clean-up event but was not able to identify volunteers to collect, sort and provide transportation of collected items to Grand Island.

Clean Community Systems of Grand Island no longer coordinates on-site community collections and instead invests their grant funding into a processing center in Grand Island.  They will accept household hazardous wastes from individuals and from community events if volunteer citizens collect the items and provide the transportation.  Individuals may take their household hazardous wastes to their facility Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.  See their website for directions or other information:  www.cleancommunity.org

An Albion Household Hazardous Waste collection event may be made possible in the future if there is enough interest and volunteer participation.
