Albion Public Library

The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library. —Albert Einstein

The Albion Public Library currently contains 19,874 copies and 22,443 titles of volumes.  Library goers can sign up for a free library card and check out books, magazines, videos and audiobooks.  The library offers services and programming for all ages in a pleasant and cozy atmosphere.  Four computers with internet access are also available to utilize by library patrons.  In addition, the library offers access to free WiFi.

The Library was built in 1908 as one of 69 Carnegie Libraries across the state of Nebraska.  In 2023, it is one of only 16 Carnegie Library buildings that still operates as a library.  It includes all original woodwork, as well as an addition to the east side with more space for two levels: adult and teen on the upper floor and children's section on the lower floor.  The library also has ADA ramp access at the south side of the building with an elevator, entered from the bottom floor, making the library a welcoming space for all ability levels.
