This Annual Show & Shine Event, sponsored by Cornerstone Bank - Albion, Albion Thrifty-Way, Schalk Auto Inc., Rex Mahoney/Stock Realty & Auction Co., and Zoucha Hay Grinding, Inc. is held on Saturday of Father's Day Weekend from 10am to 3pm. Many come downtown and see all the rides and bikes! Free will donations are raised to help fund area causes.

All day event open to all ages!!

Albion Speedway
“THE ACTION TRACK!”, presents racing action at its finest every Friday night from May to September. Weekly racing shows boast four classes – Hobby Stock, Street Stock, IMCA Modified, and Limited Late Model – and is a regular stop for traveling Sprint Car, Special Late Model, and WDRL Late Model series. Located at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Albion, the Boone County Raceway was featured in Dirt Late Model Magazine as “the Best Little Track You’ve Never Seen” and has a National reputation for track preparation, providing a family-friendly atmosphere, and downright old-school dirt track racing action!

The Albion Family Aquatic Centeralso located at Fuller Park, is open Monday-Saturday 1pm to 7pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm from Early May to Mid-August. Plan your next family outing in Albion!
Activities include lecture and theatre series provided by the Albion Arts Council, Cedar Valley Art Guild, and Piecing Pals Quilt Guild.
Other cultural activities including Friends of Music, Community Concert Association, and Community Theater Group are available within a one-hour drive.
Boone County Historical MuseumHouses many articles from Boone County displayed at the museum.
Albion Public LibraryHandicap accessible with an elevator lift, contains over 16,000 volumes and has an average annual circulation of 26,000. The computerized library has cassettes, audio books, a micro-film readerprinter, and eight computers with Internet access. Library activities include a children's reading group as well as a teen center. Local organizations have established a designated area within the library for a resource center. The center houses resource materials and computer equipment to be used by entrepreneurs and others interested in starting small businesses.

In June the Quarter Horse Show takes center stage and in July the annual Boone County Fair and Rodeo is always worth attending. Albion offers many wholesome and fun activities to keep the whole family entertained.
BRAN (Bike Ride Across Nebraska)

Albion hosted several hundred BRAN participants on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Boone County Fairgrounds and Fuller Park. BRAN is a charitable Nebraska non-profit corporation whose main intent is to provide a fun, safe way for participants to experience the great state of Nebraska, but also uses its excess revenues to provide scholarships to Nebraska high school graduates to Nebraska Colleges and Universities. This marks the 30th year of the event and this year's theme is "SPACE COWBOY." Albion was voted the "BEST HOST COMMUNITY" by riders in 2010!
