Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets on the first Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Albion City Hall, 420 W Market Street, Albion, NE 68620. 

The Albion Planning Commission consists of 9 members appointed by the Mayor with approval of 3/4 of the City Council.  

Eight members shall be residents of the City, while 1 member shall be appointed from the extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction.

The function and duty of the Planning Commission is to make and adopt plans for the physical development of the City, including any areas outside of its boundaries within its authority which, in the commission's judgment, bear relation to the planning of the City. All actions by the Commission shall be subject to the review and supervision of the City Council.
The Planning Commission makes recommendation to the City Council relating to the comprehensive development plan, capital improvements, building codes, subdivision development or zoning.
